Cruisin

This Sunday, Max and I leave for our honeymoon cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am about this trip. But to give you an idea, I pulled out my luggage and started packing two weeks ago.

I’ve traveled to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica in the past. I have even cruised before. Still, there is something about this trip that makes my heart beat faster, probably because of the company I’ll be keeping. My husband and I travel well together. We both enjoy high energy and adventurous trips. And for this reason, Max has booked a variety of excursions from parasailing in Haiti to hiking the Mayan ruins at different ports of call.

I researched extensively before choosing Mariner. The ships reviews were consistently good and some of the amenities such as a Latin club, rock-climbing wall, and ice skating rink made it an easy choice. If this is not enough, Max ordered a "romance package" to make sure I am sufficiently spoiled. What a guy!

I also learned that the boat offers an Internet café, so I may be checking in next week. In fact, I’ve packed my trusty iPAQ and digital video camera in the hopes of being able to take you along on this Caribbean adventure. That’s my intent, but if for some unknown reason I am missing from the Martini Lounge next week, don’t send any rescue vessels fearing I fell overboard. Oh, I may very well be going a little overboard, but that will be between me and Max’s credit card company. ;-)

That sounds fantastic, Diane. Both of you enjoy yourselves--but remember there's two types of going overboard, don't pick the wrong type!
