What I didn’t blog about this week

Saturday – Max and I were invited to an Arabic night at a local community center and really looked forward an evening of belly dancers and Arabic music. What we didn’t realize was that the program was actually a 3-hour dance recital for belly dancing wannabes from the ages of 15 to 60-years-old. While I admired the dancer’s gumption, the program was really as bad as it sounds.

Tuesday and Wednesday Emergency baby-sitting. My friend’s 2-year-old got a nasty stomach bug and had to be taken to the emergency room due to dehydration. I made a midnight, hour-long run to watch her twin brother while the parents tended to baby girl. I felt happy to help a friend in need over the two-day ordeal, but my service came at a cost. Max ended up with the same stomach flu. I’m just hope I’ve escaped the virus because I leave for the U.S. tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Good luck with not catching the tummy bug.
It's 12.11 am here and I'm still up playing on the computer waiting for my 7 yr old to stop vomiting so I can go to bed and get some sleep, he seems to have come down with one too, yay!
Have a great time home with your family and friends, fingers crossed you wont get it on the flight, always a good way of getting an aisle to yourself!

I will pray that you don't catch it, Diane. I once flew from LA to RDU with stomach flu, spending the whole flight in the bathroom. It was horrible. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

Hope Max feels better soon. Good luck on your trip.

Yeesh, sounds like a rough couple of days! Good luck fending off that flu...traveling while sick is the WORST! Have a safe and happy trip!

I hope you avoid the flu too. Those little bags on the airplane don't have much capacity.

Good luck, Diane. Hope you leave the bug behind! Life doesn't always treat you fairly, does it?

My fingers are crossed for you. Three hours of bad belly dancing does sound scary.

The belly dancing sounds like it belongs in the 'interesting' category. (as in not really interesting to watch a 60 yr old doing that, actually sounds kind of icky)
I hope Max is better soon and that you don't get it as well. Have a great trip!
