7 Random Facts

Many thanks and a shout out to Charlotte for tagging me with this meme. Quite honestly, I’m not sure what I would have blogged about today if it hadn’t been for her.

7 (more) random facts about me

1. Everyone has one daily chore that they could live without. It’s the chore you tend to put off for another day. Well, here’s mine-- sorting and putting away the forks, knives, and spoons after they have been cleaned in the dishwasher. I don’t know what it is about this simply task, but I will let all my utensils pile up and run through several cycles before I actually put them away. Sometimes, I even leave it for poor Max to do for me. Strange, I know.

2. I recently learned that one of my old flames actually has an online fan club devoted to him. A narcissist in the truest sense, I thought he must have created it for himself, but was surprised to discover someone else had actually devoted it to him. Even though it’s only 15 member strong, I wanted to gag. Bleh!! He is such a prick! How could he warrant a fan club?

3. I feed my dog bottle water, because I worry about the high lime content in the taps, and mix basmati rice in his dry dog food so he is more likely to eat it.

4. My parents started me on ballet classes at the age of 5-years old to make me more graceful and because I “walked like I was pushing a wheel barrel.” Way to give a girl confidence, eh? I ended up taking ballet lessons for 12 years and performed in my last recital at 17.

5. I’m not a beach person. In fact, I would choose almost any other vacation over going to the beach. I don’t like water, sand, baking in the sun.

6. This goes against popular opinion and I almost dare not say it, but I believe in a woman’s right to have plastic surgery. Grow old gracefully? Sure, if that’s your thing. But I, for one, will probably look for less refined ways to go through aging. ☺

7. Can someone be taught how to snore? If so, I believe Charlie learned from his daddy, Max. Now I have two fellows keeping me up at night. Can anyone offer a suggestion on how I can combat this? I need a good night sleep!

for number 7 try ear plugs. I have slept with them for two years now and they are great.

Almost blasphemous (?) for an Australian/Sydney born girl, but I can't stand the beach either... give me mountains - give me snow, give me green green green... but don't give me sand in places it doesn't belong ;)

Hahahaha, on the fan club guy. Wow.

Anyway, I don't like putting away the silverware either. I am totally the type of person that will start taking the clean stuff out of the dishwasher to use it rather than put it away ;).

I hate sand, myself. Love scuba, but can't lay on the beach.
I also used to hate putting the dishes away, but now I have the little buckets in the dishwasher I carry them to the drawers and it makes it easier. I love that ex-fan club thing. That's so funny- do you have to look at it every now and then and thank the heavens he is an ex?

I posted mine.

Does your ex do something that makes him famous-wish? Maybe he paid someone to start the fan club! ;)

Not a beach person? More beach for me!

The fan club thing kinda weirds me out. Chalk up another reason why the Internet Age isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I am the CEO of my wife's fan club. But I suspect that's a whole other kettle of fish, right?

Mr. kenju uses an anti-snoring device that we bought at Brookstone. It looks like a plastic "U" and you put it in your nose at night. It works pretty well. I don't know what to do about Charlie...LOL

I'm surrounded by three snoring guys at night: hubby, the dog, and the baby!

Mandy - #7: use ear plugs! We use them ever since we lived under the Heathrow fly path.

I like the beach early, early in the morning. Walking along it, not sitting on it. I also like a water view in winter on a gray day.

Love the beaches in Maine more than the ones in the South.

I took a quick peak at google. I am not aware of any health risks to dogs/cats from hard water. You might not like the taste or the deposits, but it won't hurt you either unless you have medical problems.

You might be spending money you don't need to.

another suggestion for #7 - Max needs nose amputation -
