Disenfranchised!

Damn. How could I...?!?! With all the these hausfrau activities occupying my silly little brain, I forgot the most important deadline of a generation. I've lost my chance to have a meaningful voice, to participate in the process, to exercise my fundamental right and privilege.

How could I be so stupid?

Forget rock the vote. I just missed the boat. Never again will I have the chance to send fan mail to Ringo Starr. The deadline was yesterday. He announced that beginning today all mail, including requests for autographs, will be tossed directly in the trash.

Can anyone please explain how I am suppose get over this tragedy?

Now how will I have my voice heard with Ringo? This is so un-American.

Oh.

When I read about this in the paper on the weekend, I thought of that Simpsons episode where Ringo finally answers Marg's letter after thirty years.

I was beginning to believe you had forgotten to send in your ballot! But when I read further.. Wow! Thanks for the great laughter! ;-)

He's probably reached the age in which he is just confused.Just listen to the number of times he repeats peace and love.

It all depends on how what you write on the outside of the envelope.

If you address it to the "Least Talented of the Beatles" or "Coattails Starr" you will hear from him, just not the way you might expect to.

haha! I love the Beatles, but really, does Ringo still get THAT MUCH fan mail?

He totally finished that off with "And you kids GET OFF OF MY LAWN!"

I used to like Ringo, but no more. He didn't have to make that announcement, did he? How much could he be getting nowadays? Why didn't he just toss it without telling anyone? Sheeeesh.

Now I could see being upset over Paul or John (RIP)--but Ringo? Nah!

The guv'ner beat me to it, dangnabit!

ah well, guess I can put 'write fan mail to Ringo' on my to-do list, cross it off, and grab me a bit of cheap sense of accomplishment.

Ringo used to be my favourite Beatle, but his activities of late have convinced me that he's become a complete arse.

At least he WARNED us with peace and love! x

He just went from "Starr" to "Black Hole" if you ask me. ;o)

Despite being an old Beatles fan, I must say Ringo is positively pathetique! Not only is/was he the luckiest drummer in the world, he is not exactly academic material, if you get my drift! His son Zac is probably a better drummer, and he records with Oasis and tours with the Who I believe. So there!

That Ringo! See? That's why Paul was always my favourite.

Too funny.

And yeah, it reminded me of the Simpsons episode, too. :)
