Exclusive!!! Sarah Palin Debate Preparations

It isn't any secret (and shouldn't come off as partisan to say) the expectations for Sarah Palin's upcoming debate performance are about as low as stock shares in Wachovia these days.

After the Alaskan governor performed poorly in nationally televised interviews with both Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric, she has been panned by both liberal and conservative media outlets as "unqualified" and "out of her league." In fact, the only people who haven't been alarmed or disheartened by Palin's grasp of the issues work at Saturday Night Live, which has seen a ratings boost since Tina Fey electrified audience with her dead-on impersonation of the governor.

Some in the GOP claim Palin's problems are a result of being over-prepared, like a weary student who has crammed for a final exam of a course she never actually completed. They have urged the McCain camp to "let Palin be Palin", so that her charm and charisma shine through, bewitching American television audiences once again. In a CBS appearance, McCain, himself, insisted that Palin is qualified, with a clear grip of the issues, and has merely been the victim of "gotcha journalism."

Oh, gotcha!

On the eve of Palin's longest, and most important, unscripted event, the message is clear: Don't count the governor out just yet. Tuesday, Palin headed to John McCain's ranch near Sedona, Arizona, for what a top aide calls "debate camp." As you can imagine, security is tight and the press has been kept off limits.

But in this, a Martini exclusive, secret video footage shows the governor hunkered down with top advisor and making great progress in her debate preparation.

Joe Biden had better beware.

Actually, that's so believable it's scary.

on the other hand - we bought some Wachovia shares - put in the bid when it was $10, got it at $1(!), already made a little profit. (as long as it doesn't go down the toilet).

Not 'buying' Palin though.

But is someone going to tell her whether Spain is our ally?

Michelle - Good question!

Nothing like putting a little pressure on a girl.. as scary as the the thought is of Palin being the leader of the so called free world.. she has balls to take on the position.. would I, I think not.

I'm not a fan of hers either, but since when do we care so much about VPs? Quayle was unquestionably an idiot. I guess McCain is old, so it's a bit more relevant, but I just wish all the VP hype, good and bad, would go away.

Anon - I tend to agree its a distraction from much more important issues right now.

That is hillarious! I love it

And now the woman can't name a single newspaper she's read. Um, yeah. Not impressed with her or the 40% of Americans still in favor of that ticket. WTF? Embarrassing.

brilliant!

I can't wait to see the VP debates! It's pathetic but given how things are going right now in this country, I know Palin will always make me giggle, even if it is from complete disbelief.

I love this! If Sarah Palin breaks out into song, I may consider changing my non-existent vote.

The VP debates are the only thing that could pull me away from Jon Stewart
