What I didn't blog about this week

Wednesday - I never thought it possible, but Max has some serious competition these days. My new love? Sebation--a beautiful 2-year old with curly blond hair and the sweetest disposition. Apparently, the feeling is mutual. After spending a few hours with me and Charlie, Sebastian didn't want to go home to his mother, who has become a fast friend ever since we met at the barbeque Max and I hosted back in June. At first I thought Sebastion didn't want to leave Charlie, but when his mother went to put him in the car all he raised his arms out to me and said, "Nana, nana" (Diana might be a little tough to pronounce). It melted my heart. Max beware!

Thursday - The company-sponsored dinner that I whined about in my last post has actually produced two positive results: an invitation to an authentic Mexican-styled bruch (cooked by two Mexican expats I met at the event) AND an invitation to a costume party. I'm so excited! Here's my question on the costume party: What or who should Max and I go as?

Friday -- A very dear friend- woman who knew me back when I wore Big 80s hair and has met all three of my husbands :-) --comes to visit on Monday. As luck would have it, Max is traveling to Brazil for business, so next week will be like a week-long slumber party. I can hardly wait!! If you don't see much of me next week, please understand.

HA! I thought Sebastian was another blond cocker until you said he spoke.

I'm having trouble getting any ideas for a halloween party here, so I'm no good to ask.

I was going to say go as Obama and McCain.

That Mexican food sounds like it will be great.

aww.. How cute! There is no such thing as 'terrible twos'... except terribly sweet! Enjoy the attention auntie Nana!

We're attending a number of kid-related Halloween events plus a party for our apartment building. I think I'll be lucky to get my husband to wear a costume, much less to go for a couple-theme! We'll see. Let us know!

You're going to need to post a photo of this 80s hair.

The Scientist and I went to a halloween party once where there was a couple dressed as "Cloudy" and "With a chance of rain." The costume is hard to explain but the women, who was rain, had an umbrella/hat thing that had silver Xmas garlands attached and hanging down. The man had cotton pulled apart and attached to his shirt somehow.

It looked cooler than I can describe and was definitely a way to get people talking to them!
