I'm an idiot.

The number of days from the time I purchased my mobile phone for Spain until I the time I lost it (and all the phone numbers I have collected)?

30

In fact, "idiot" might be to weak a word.

Disposable phones? Why not. At least they never get dirty this way.

I don't lose mine, I break them. Not as bad as I am with watches... watches fear me... but it's not a good thing. Sorry. :(

Oh no! I don't think you're an idiot, though. Maybe a scatterbrain? ;o)

Hope you find the phone! Check with the company (you can go online, too) because you might be able to access the phone numbers saved on their through their SIM information...good luck!

Call your number and see who answers. I once located the owner of a lost phone that way, and returned it to her.

A month ago during a stressful time, my husband lost his phone. We realized in within minutes and I phoned his number. Someone actually answered it and we asked him where he was. It was the the bank machine, two minutes from home. He was kind enough to wait for us to come and retrieve it. We were lucky, all my husbands business contacts were on the sim card. Stuff happens...ciao

Mine went down the garbage shute when packing between singapore and here-never to be seen again! I did try ringing it but I guess it didnt survive the 19 floor drop.

Ha! When my daughter first got her phone, we lectured her on keeping it safe and being careful, then we went on a trip to Montreal and I left my phone in a cab. Boy did I feel sheepish!

Someday maybe we'll just have them implanted. Of course, that will make changing the battery difficult.
