It's that time (finally)!

Drum Roll, please. There is an important announcement to make.

I have only one more day until the event I have waited for since longer than I can remember--a hair appointment with Meghan, stylist extraordinary and stand-in therapist, for a cut and color.

Don't worry about my hopes being dashed after tomorrow. Meghan, talented as she may be, isn't a miracle worker. I'm not expecting much from the cut, or "shaping," she will perform on my lifeless hairstyle. Because my head hosts so little hair since the shaving, I do fear the onset of a panic attack the first time I see those clippers coming at me. Post Traumatic Shaving Disorder--if there is such I thing, I most certainly have it.

On the other hand, I hold great expectations on the color portion of my hair appointment. This dull, thin, mousy brown mop has to go. In its place, I seek what Mother Nature only once teased me with long ago when I was just a child--blond hair. My philosophy on hair is much like it would be on child birth. If it ain't coming naturally, seek the easy and pain free route. In the case of hair, bottle blond is better than no blond at all.

So bring on those blond jokes in the comments portion, if you wish. I haven't had them come my way in a looonnnggg time. And, I sure have missed 'em.

Good for you Diane! :-) Nothing puts a spark in my day, like a fresh color and cut!

Do we get to see pics?

ohhh, i want to see pics too if you can.

diane, i LOVE blonde too. i have been every colour in the rainbow since in my teens and i always return to blonde.

there is nothing better than an appt with therapist/stylist, and a great cut/colour. just makes you feel good kwim?

that said my stylist here fucked me up and now i can't function. i went back to my old therapist/stylist the other day (she is now an hour and a half away from me since we moved) but i had to do the drive. she fixed as best as she could now i have to wait to grow.

i am just functioning i tell you.

only a woman can understand this.

M&M - I shaved my head March 23 to raise money for cancer research in honor of my friend who suffers with the illness. The post on that day incudes the brutal pictures from the event. This post from February explains my reasons more fully.

Yay for hair pampering! I like you brown, I like you blonde. You pull both off well. Sometimes I miss my blonde...or my red...or my pink (wait no I don't!) hair, but for now I remain light brown with some sunlight highlights until the gray becomes noticable then it's back to the bottle (dye bottle that is!).

How is she doing? she sounds like a strong woman from your feb post.
