Partied like a rock star, feel like a rock

We took this photograph at the beginning of our 11-hour visit to the Dürkheimer Wurstmarkt, the world’s largest wine festival.

The photograph taken at the end of the day proves we hadn’t slowed just because the sun went down.

Obviously, we have a different story this morning--one that involves cold compresses and lots of black coffee. However, if anyone has a more full-proof home remedy for one helluva hangover (actually five of them), please leave it in section below. Thank you.

I'm really having a giggle over this one :) Scary how we forget that we can't party like we are 21 anymore...

As for a cure...OJ and a good painkiller (the vitamin C in the OJ will help a lot).

THis brings back memories, unfortunately I don't have a cure, just a few war stories.

Alcohol makes you dehydrated. Seriously, drink as much water as you can-I try to drink a liter, take some ibuprofen and if there is a German equivalent of Gatorade, drink that too!!! (If you can do this before you go to bed, you can sometimes avoid hangover all together)

Sounds like it was worth it though!!!

I'm so jealous! This looks wicked fun.

I am not, however, jealous of the cocktail (wine) flu that some of you were probably feeling the next day.

tomato juice and time. Hope you feel better soon - glad you had fun!

Yup, Yelli is right--LOTS of water and an ibuprofen. If you do prefer coffee, make it weak, so that it doesn't draw even more water out of your body and aggravate the dehydration.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm jealous of your hangover.

*sigh*

Soon, this pregnancy will be over ...

When one is ready to eat again - I like Thai food for a hangover! Particularly, get the noodles. Something about the noodles + mystery Thai ingredients just soaks up the badness and makes it all better.

I always try to drink lots of water and take Advil before I go to bed but I guess it's too late for that. So greasy breakfast and more sleep might help.

seems like everyone covered most of the bases. the alcohol dehydrates you so drink two glasses of water before you go to sleep.

helping a hangover involves lots of strong coffee, more water, and a big greasy breakfast. i hear bloody marys help.

Stay drunk.

But seriously, a good drink of water prior to bed should do it.
