Autumn in the vineyards

In 600 A.D., the Romans planted the first grape vines in the Rhineland-Pfalz. And tucked away in today's vineyards, just a few hundred meters from my house, stands the remnants of an ancient Roman keller. I thought I'd offer a glimpse of what the fall looks like in my part of the world. Quite scenic, don't you think?

oh my! It's so beautiful! I miss the changing seasons. Thanks! We had interesting weather last Friday. Went from blowing rain to blowing sand for a short time in the afternoon. Some places reported a bit of hail.. which meant a lot of locals were dancing around saying it had snowed. It doesn't take much change to get us all riled up! I sure miss the leaves turning though.

I'd send you a pic of what my fall looks like. But I'm sure you already know what dirt looks like.

I love how grape vine leaves turn color with the other fall leaves. For some reason I didn't expect that the first time I saw it...

I'm trying to inhale it through the computer screen. Too bad my scratch and sniff monitor is on the fritz.

I get to use a new German word I've learned today, especially fitting for this: Wunderschön!

Thanks for sharing this :-)
