Most folks where I grew up didn't observe Advent, so I am, admittedly, not completely versed in the observance. I do know it's almost here and the stores have been selling the popular advent calendars since October.
In fact, I found this calendar in Globus and couldn't help but snap a photo of it. But somehow, I don't think it represents the significance of the occasion. Right?

Awesome. Please tell me those are all candidates for this year's Mr. Switzerland competition.
OMG! That is GOLD!!! Please let me steal it!!!!!
Whoah. I wonder what's behind all those little doors??
You can also get beer Advent calendars with a can of beer for each day. That's the spirit! Or not. :-)
As long as the spirit moves you , right? I should send one of those to my sister.
I must respectfully disagree... I think it represents the significance perfectly. I wish I had one :-)
Hey, it works for me!
The flap for day #19 needs to move to the right and then open sesame!!
Woohoo for #17!!!
And since advent is the time to prepare for, um, The Coming, I suppose this calendar is right on ...
Of course it fits the season... they're wearing little holiday angel suits aren't they??
The Advent calendars i had growing up rewarded us with a daily square of chocolate. I wonder what's behind the doors on this one! :p
This is hysterical, Diane! ;-)
Ewwww.
I like it, didn't see one of those at our local German deli though, too bad...ciao
Now girl, go steady! Alexander the Great a.k.a. Max is enough, isn't he? ;-)
